How to shop Restaurant Depot, Costco, Sam’s Club or BJs’ without a membership

Did you know you can get deliveries from the above stores on Instacart without being a member and in many cases save money by NOT paying multiple membership fees.

Now, full disclosure I am a member of Costco and have been to Sam’s Club and BJ’s and prefer Costco.  But sometimes they carry unique items Costco doesn’t.

We also have a free membership to Restaurant Depot based on the nature of the business BUT there isn’t one close by so every now and again we use Instacart if there is a sale item we want but don’t want to make the trip, like Tilapia for $1.49 (gilled gutted and scaled), or wings for $0.69 a lb, or some fresh oysters at $0.49 each (various).

Considering these prices are 1/2 of what Costco, Sam’s Club or BJ’s would charge and 1/4 the cost of your local grocery store it is even  worth it if you don’t have a coupon as referenced in our other article, “How to maximize Instacart”, its worth paying the add on fees for Instacart as you still come out ahead….

Frugal Gastronomy was born out of Mary’s creative mind (and stomach). The desire to eat restaurant quality food at a lower price point at home.

She has the motivation and unique ability to crave something, look up some recipes out there, and modify them to taste even better.

She has the ability to eat something at a restaurant and think about how it could have been better, then come home and recreate it with her twist.

She also has the uncanny ability to find a deal and shop the sales so we have the ingredients at home so when she craves something, she doesn’t need to run out and pay full price or even “Overpay” for convenience.

She started this blog and her website to pass on this knowledge on to other foodies to enjoy……
