Chicken Parmagiana (with Costco shortcut)

IMG_4441

A delicious Italian favorite for the family short on time…..

We use the frozen Panko breaded chicken, cutlets, uncooked in this recipe to speed things up a bit, less greasy and taste less dense (you could even use the pre-cooked to make this even faster (but you may lose some flavor by overcooking)

Ingredients:

-4 panko breaded chicken tender

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1 jar of marina sauce of your preference

1 teaspoons Italian seasoning

– 1 handfuls of fresh basil leaves

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Bake breaded chicken according to package. (my trick is to cook it 1/2 way, then put it back in the oven at step 5)

3. Layer marinara sauce, transfer the cooked chicken breasts to a baking dish.

4. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning, shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.

5. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired, before serving.

Enjoy your delicious chicken parmigiana with your favorite side dishes like pasta, garlic bread or a salad.
